Design thinking is a human-centred design methodology used to accelerate innovation in product and service design.

We say it ‘accelerates’ innovation because it taps into a different way of working and thinking that puts people at the heart of the design process and leverages knowledge within teams to solve real customer problems.

Spatial has been offering design thinking consulting in digital product and service design since 2013 and we’ve honed our process to work within multiple contexts.

Design Thinking in Practice

Design Thinking sets organizations up for success when they want to:

Creating an Agile Organization

While design thinking is useful for strategic projects, we’re also seeing the core principles being adopted to support cultural change as organizations look for agility, adaptability, inclusivity and resilience.

Design thinking by nature is customer centric, collaborative and agile, and often involves new skills and ways of working that need to be taught, practiced and supported at an organizational level.

Spatial provides design thinking coaching and support to companies that are adopting design thinking and need help to get a few wins, practice working with and facilitating cross-functional teams, and/or support with prototyping and testing.
